EastEnders actress Lacey Turner is expecting her first child with husband Matt Kay.
After announcing her exciting pregnancy news in OK! magazine last month, the 30 year old appeared on This Morning on Wednesday in a beautiful striped dress.
Revealing her blossoming baby bump, Lacey was positively glowing in the rainbow-inspired metallic maxi dress.
Letting her glossy brunette locks hang down her shoulders in loose curls, the talented soap star’s makeup was natural letting her radiant complexion shine through.
Opening up on her pregnancy in a brave and honest chat with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Lacey revealed she didn’t allow herself to get excited about her pregnancy until she passed the 20 week mark – after she had tragically suffered two miscarriages before.
Speaking about the moment she discovered she was pregnant for a third time, she told the This Morning hosts she thought: “Oh, well don’t get excited. I ignored it until I was 10 weeks. I thought maybe that would work.
“I got to seven weeks and thought, ‘don’t get excited,’ then eight, nine, my family would say it was time and I told my mum not to talk about it.
“It wasn’t until I got to about 20 weeks and then I thought, ‘ooh, maybe we are going to have a baby.'”
Discussing how she suffered two miscarriages at seven weeks, she continued: “I got to seven weeks this time and I started to recognise the same things were happening. The cramps, the bleeding. I sat on my own on the sofa and just cried. I went to see the doctor so he could confirm it wasn’t living anymore.
“I got there and it was, and there was a heartbeat. My progesterone levels had just dropped. I was given progesterone drops and that is what I believe saved my baby.
Stacey also heartbreakingly announced that she first fell pregnant one month after her wedding to husband Matt Kay in 2017.
She said: “We couldn’t believe it. We had the positive pregnancy test, we were thinking about names, we got to seven weeks and sadly lost it. It was heartbreaking, my whole world crumbled. I just couldn’t understand it, I didn’t know anyone who had been through anything like this.
“I didn’t know why I was so sad about something I’d never met. I was so crushed.”
