EastEnders star James Bye has introduced his third child after his wife Victoria gave birth to a baby boy in February.

The actor, who has starred as Martin Fowler on the BBC soap since 2014, has exclusively opened up on becoming a father-of-three after a difficult time conceiving.

Victoria and James, who have been married for seven years, told OK! magazine of their struggle to conceive due to endometriosis.

Opening up on the arrival of their little boy, who the couple have named Hugo James Bye, James revealed how he jumped into the birthing pool to catch his 7lb 11oz newborn.

“I said to James: ‘Please help me!’ I felt a big splash and James was next to me in the birthing pool,” Victoria said.

“We both sat there sobbing with happiness, holding him in the birthing pool.”

“Being the first to hold Hugo made me so emotional,” the actor added.

After the arrival of his third boy, James added: “We feel closer. With three children, if you’re not a team you’d have no chance.”

The soap star, who already has five-year-old Edward and three year old Louis George with Victoria, added that they would “never say never” to having more children.

“We’ve been blessed with three healthy children, so we count ourselves lucky, but never say never,” James added.
